Starting in June, Leo Express will renew another bus line to Ukraine from Ostrava via Krakow to Lviv

It is a follow-up to the Prague-Ostrava trains

Prague, 12th of April 2024 - From the 1st of June, Leo Express will operate a daily direct night bus service to Ukraine, extending its existing regular bus service from Košice. The buses from Ostrava, which will follow the trains between Prague and Ostrava, will travel to Lviv in Ukraine and back via Poland, with stops in Katowice and Krakow. Leo Express has experience on this route, having already operated a bus line to Lviv. The coaches are equipped with free WiFi, air conditioning, a table, a power outlet and USB at each seat, as well as free water. Tickets start at €9 and are already available at www.leoexpress.com

"We have been operating connections to Ukraine since 2015, with a small break caused by the border closure during the coronavirus pandemic. We see a lot of interest in the current regular bus line from Košice to Mukachevo, especially in the summer the connections are usually sold out and we use reinforcement connections. Therefore, we have decided to renew our route to Lviv via Poland, which we have been operating in the past and which has been very popular with our customers. The fare on the new route will start at 9 €," says Emil Sedlařík, spokesman for Leo Express.

An air-conditioned bus with WiFi leaves Ostrava daily at 18:45. It follows the train from Prague, which arrives at 18:24, so there is plenty of time to change. The bus then travels through Katowice and Krakow in Poland, arriving in Lviv at 5:30.

The connection from Lviv will leave at 21:30, stopping again in Krakow and Katowice, arriving in Ostrava at 11:50. This is followed by a train to Olomouc, Pardubice and Prague, which leaves Ostrava at 12:14.

Comfort on the bus and train guaranteed

On the buses, passengers enjoy the comfort they have come to expect when traveling with Leo Express. Of course, there is WiFi and air conditioning, a table, power outlet and USB at every seat, as well as free water. There is a self-service capsule coffee machine on board and a kettle with hot water for making tea. A Leo Express magazine is available for reading and a sleeping kit can be purchased.

The bus has a total capacity of 49 passengers, 8 of which are in Business Class with a premium headrest, blanket and complimentary refreshments. The buses are black with Leo Express coating and a replacement bus will be provided if necessary.

Coaches connect with Leo Express train services with ample time for convenient transfers. WiFi, air conditioning and on-site refreshment delivery are also available on the buses.
