Very rarely, she can be seen onboard our trains in Orlicko or at the counters of ticket offices there – only when she replaces her colleagues. Her main task is to select suitable candidates for the vacancies in ticket offices and cabin crews. She is also responsible for their training. She shares her experience in communicating with clients, and she is always there if some of the staff need to consult about the technologies or any other issues. To make a long story short, she is the one who makes sure you always receive relevant answers to your questions and always get the most favourable fares. 

To be able to do that, she needs to be perfectly familiar with the work of the cabin crew and ticket office personnel. She also takes care of supplies for the ticket offices, she negotiates with technology providers, and supervises the plan of medical checks for her team. It would take much more to list all Gabriela’s responsibilities with Leo Express.

It Is My Home

She has spent nearly all her career on the railways communicating with the passengers. “Immediately after school, I got a job as a train guard. I gradually worked my way up to the chief guard,” says Gabriela. She has railways in the family. Such families often pass the passion for trains from one generation to another. By the way, she even married on the railways – her husband is a train driver. 

Gabriela joined Leo Express in February 2020. “There are no second thoughts. I love it here. And I like my colleagues and the passengers who commute every day or who travel to see the beauties of our region,” she adds. “There are marvellous places in our region, Dolní Morava with its Sky Walk and Footbridge, bicycle trails on Králický Sněžník and Buková Hora. And when you travel through the fields and woods from Dolní Lipka to Hanušovice, it is such a stunning view that no town can ever compare to it,” she says.
