The Bratislava–Dunajská Streda–Vel'ký Meder–Komárno line was launched with the introduction of the new timetable on December 10, 2023. Customers have already been able to try traveling on modern low-floor trains with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and wheelchair-accessible toilets. Nearly 100 daily connections will be offered in the Danube region, and there will also be a densification of connections and an increase in capacity during rush hours between Dunajská Streda, Kvetoslavov and Bratislava.

On Sunday, we also opened a new customer center and lounge at Bratislava's Main Railway Station. Passengers can buy tickets and get information about connections and fares. At the same time, customers with an unlimited annual DanubePass ticket can wait for their train in comfortable armchairs, read the Leo Express magazine or borrow a book from the library, and enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea.

The name of the Dunajská Strela trains was chosen from the suggestions of passengers themselves, of which we received almost 400. The author of the winning name won a one-year unlimited DanubePass worth €356 and a gift package with Leo Express merchandise.

We are entering the Danube region after many years of experience with train operations in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland. Our goal is to bring a new standard of rail service to passengers on this route and make their daily commutes or weekend trips to tourist destinations along the route more enjoyable.
